A batwing-style silhouette sweater is that perfect mix of comfort and quiet drama. The wide,
flowing sleeves and relaxed shape create a soft cocoon feel while still looking sharp and modern. It
moves beautifully, layers effortlessly, and gives any outfit an instant fashion edge — easy,
sculptural, and seriously chic.
The batwing-style silhouette sweater is a styling dream. Throw it over a crisp shirt worn loose, pair
it with wide-leg trousers, or go full contrast with baggy jeans — it instantly looks intentional and
fashion-forward. It also layers beautifully over a long, flowy dress for that sassy-meets-classy vibe.
One piece, endless combinations, zero effort look.

Pattern Notes
The Voyager Sweater is worked top-down and uses short rows to shape both the yoke and sleeves. The sleeves are knitted at the same time as the yoke sections, creating a seamless construction. Voyager is designed to be worn with up to 25 cm (9") of positive ease at the bust. The batwing-style silhouette provides plenty of room around the bust and upper arms. If you prefer a closer fit with less ease, simply choose the next size down.
For this sample, I combined a multicolored aran-weight yarn with a solid silk mohair strand. This helpedcreate a smoother, more unified final look and slightly toned down the strong color variation of the main yarn. In my experience, multicolored yarn works especially well for this sweater style — the color change flow more naturally and look more dynamic than they would in a classic raglan. If multicolored yarn or mohair isn’t your thing, feel free to use any yarn combination or single yarn strand that matches the required gauge.
